On 13 December 2017, a group of students studying Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS) at Queen's College paid a visit to our firm, with the intention of learning more about the day-to-day operation of an accountancy firm. The students were all Form 5 students who held a strong interest in accountancy and their enthusiasm was signified by the number of relevant questions that were asked. With the help of our practising director, Mr. K T Tam, the students emerged with a better understanding of accountancy and it turned out to be an extremely useful and enjoyable visit.

Other official guests include government officials, regulators, representatives of the Liaison Office, Mainland counterparts, academia and representatives of other professional bodies and trade associations.

The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) hosted its 12th Annual Meeting of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Tax Conference cum CTA Conference and 45th Anniversary Dinner 2017 on 17 November 2017.

The Fifth-Term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China, Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor was a guests of honour.

The Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Tax Forum was organized jointly by China Certified Tax Agents Association, The Taxation Association of Macau, The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong and Taiwan CPA Association. Tax professionals can share their experience and opinion with others during the forum.

The tax forum this year was hosted by The Taxation Institute of Macau.

Our company organized an outdoor activity for our staff to visit Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village on 14 October 2017.

Covering an area of 22.97 hectares, Lei Yue Mun Park in Chai Wan District on Hong Kong Island overlooks Lei Yue Mun Channel. Surrounded by trees and shrubs, the Holiday Camp offers fine views and fresh air. The buildings inside the Holiday Camp were modelled on the European-style buildings of the early 20th century.

Our staff enjoyed the Holiday Camp’s recreational facilities such as archery range, rope course, tennis court, badminton court, table tennis room,..etc. Everyone has a pleasurable day.

Active Engagement and Integration Project (AEIP) is the first overseas initiative of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). AEIP provides free pre-landing support services abroad in order to better support the settlement, adaptation and integration of individuals moving to Canada.

Our managing practising director, Mr. Joseph Yau, has the pleasure to be invited again by AEIP to deliver a speech on a topic of "Basic Knowledge of Taxation in Canada" on 12 August 2017, during this programme to let all attendee to have a better understanding of the taxation for Canada.

By a disposition of Pope Francis which took effect on 1 August 2017, Cardinal John Tong Hon retired as Bishop of Hong Kong and was succeeded by his Coadjutor, Bishop Michael Yeung Ming-cheung.

To mark the commencement of the ministry of Bishop Michael Yeung as Bishop of Hong Kong, the Diocese held a cocktail reception on Monday, 7 August 2017 at 5:00 pm at Caritas Community Hall, 5/F, Caritas House, 2 Caine Road.

The Accountancy Training Board of the VTC organized a programme "Path to Success in Accountancy" which held at the Assembly Hall of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Morrison Hill) on 24 February 2017 for people who is interested to join accounting field or want to advance in their accounting profession.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Hong Kong hosted its 20th Community Day themed ‘20 Years of Love Transcending Decades’, bringing together hundreds of participants from accountancy firms, multinational companies, corporations and institutions. This year’s event is also accredited as a celebration activity for HKSAR 20th Anniversary.
